A Fusion Deal: Integer Research sold to Argus Media

ArgusInteger Research an independent provider of specialist market intelligence and analysis, consultancy services and conferences has has been sold to Argus Media, the global energy and commodity price reporting agency. Fusion Corporate Partners acted as corporate advisor for Integer Research. The Fusion team was led by Paul Kelly, Director at Fusion. The terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Integer provides the fertilizer, wire and cable, and emissions control markets with specialist economic and financial analysis, market forecasts, strategy, and benchmarking information, as well as global conferences.

Speaking about the sale, Fusion’s Paul Kelly said, “I’ve known Integer Directors Tim Cheyne, and Oliver Hatfield for four years; I met their third partner, Philip Radbourne at the start of the process. They are a highly professional team with great industry knowledge and expertise. Integer is a great fit with Argus and they will do very well. I wish them every success”.

Argus first entered the global fertilizer markets with the acquisition of price reporting and events business FMB Consultants in 2011. A company sale project also managed by Fusion Corporate Partners. In 2014 Fusion sold Metal Pages to Argus.

ICIS acquires carbon market analytics specialist Tschach Solutions GmbH

icisICIS, a global provider of energy market information and a division of Reed Business Information, is to acquire Tschach Solutions GmbH, a specialist carbon market analytics company based in Karlsruhe, Germany. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Tschach Solutions, founded in 2010, offers a comprehensive portfolio of data, information and analytics products for the carbon market.Products include short and long-term price forecasts, which combine analysis of market fundamentals, policy and trading behaviour in the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) and the global Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).  Tschach Solutions produces a range of data, delivered through online, written report and consulting propositions.

“Tschach Solutions is a fast growing business whose approach to market analysis has proved highly effective. This acquisition increases ICIS capability in short and long-term energy market analysis,” said Christopher Flook, Managing Director of ICIS. “Our collective capabilities will provide customers with unique insights”.

Penton Media acquires Farm Progress From Fairfax Media for $80M

Penton Media has acquired Farm Progress from Fairfax Media Limited of Sydney, Australia. The acquisition more than doubles Penton’s position in agriculture, which becomes the company’s largest sector group. The purchase price was $79.9 million before certain adjustments.

Farm Progress features four of the industry’s leading farm trade events, including America’s largest outdoor farm show, a broadcast division, and many well-established media brands. They join Penton Agriculture’s portfolio of market-leading franchises.

A Fusion Deal: Platts completes the acquisition of Kingsman,

Fusion Corporate Partners are pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of Kingsman SA by Platts. Fusion acted exclusively for the shareholders of Kingsman SA. The team responsible for this transaction was Paul Slight and Paul Kelly.

The acquisition, whose purchase price was not disclosed, was originally announced on Fusion DigiNet on October 16.

As a unit of Platts’ new agricultural group, Kingsman will continue to offer its existing product portfolio under the Kingsman brand and under the day-to-day leadership of its founder Jonathan Kingsman

Founded in 1990 and based in Lausanne, Kingsman employs analysts, researchers and report writers in key markets including Bangkok, London, Montreal, New Delhi and Sao Paulo. It serves a global clientele of producers, traders, refiners, financial institutions and end-users, offering a variety of subscription publications covering sugar, ethanol and biodiesel.
